간사들에게 필요한 것이 무엇인지 돌아보게 하여 주옵소서. 성령 가운데 하나가 되게 하소서.

1. 감사: 신실하게 섬기고 있는 여러분에게 감사합니다. 소노꼬 간사들이 성장해 왔음을 봅니다. 우리가 기억해야 할 것은 우리가 사역을 위해 수고하지만, 하나님의 관심은 우리 각자에게도 있다는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 우리 한 사람 한 사람에게 관심이 있으십니다. 결코 우리를 이용하려는 분이 아닙니다. "내가 너희를 사랑하는 이유는 일을 이루기 위함이 아니요"

2. 다니엘 보다네, "부르심에 신실하라" 2월 다니엘 보다네 IFES 국제기독학생회 총무님 방문이 있었습니다. 소노코가 IFES 정식회원국 승인된 것을 격려하기 위한 방문이었습니다. 故 쫌란 간사 가족들도 함께 만나 위로를 나누었습니다. 모임 중에서 나눈, 복음으로 인해 핍박받는 나라들에서 그리스도인 대학생들이 내전의 고통, 투옥의 위협 속에서도 복음을 나누고 성장해 온 이야기와 부르심에 신실하라는 말씀은 모두에게 큰 격려와 도전이 되었습니다. 우리가 어떻게 부르심에 신실할 수 있을까요?

3. 헨리 나우웬, "사역자로서의 부르심" 하나님께서 일하고 계시다. [성경 본문을 더 인용하지는 않도록]
우리가 무엇에 주저하고 있는지, 하나님께서는 우리에게 무엇을 말씀하고 계신지, 엘리야의 넘어짐, 그가 주저 앉았던 자리, 하나님께서 세우고 계신 다음 세대를 소망하게 하소서. 부르심, 형제를 위해 깨어지는 부르심을 기억하게 하소서. 

도입: 캠퍼스 간사로서 우리들에게는 많은 유혹이 있는 것 같습니다. 제가 이십대 시절에 읽었던 한 권의 책이 있습니다. 이 얇은 책은 장애인 공동체를 섬겼던 헨리나우웬이 쓴 책으로서 기독교 리더십에 대한 내용을 담고 있습니다. 예수님의 시험 (마 4:1-12)과 베드로를 향한 회복과 부르심 (요 15:-21)을 통해 우리의 리더십이 어떤 도전을 받고 있으며, 어떻게 우리가 부르심을 회복할 수 있는지를 다룹니다.

이 책을 다시 읽으면서 함께 나누고 싶었습니다. 우리는 서로 다른 모양으로 섬기고 있습니다. 그러나 우리 모두가 겪는 시험들이 있을 것입니다. 우리는 어떤 시험이 있는지, 어떻게 그 시험을 이기고 하나님의 소명에 합당하게 살 수 있는지 함께 묵상해 보고 싶습니다.

마태복음 4:1

현실 지향 (Relevance)
예수님께 닥쳤던 첫 번째 시험은 현실에 충실하라는 것이었습니다… 마귀는 예수님께 돌을 빵으로 변화시키는 지극히 현실 지향적 행동을 통해 하나님의 아들로서 그의 능력을 나타내 보이라는 요구를 합니다.

우리는 현실의 필요가 많이 있습니다. 사역보다 더 나은 일자리에 눈을 돌리게 되기도 합니다. 간사로서의 자리가 사회로부터 존경받는 자리가 아니기 때문에 더욱 힘들기도 합니다. 사역을 하면서 경험하는 가장 큰 고통은 자존감이 낮아진다는 것입니다. 돈을 버는 직업이 아니기 때문에 끊임없이 후원을 걱정해야 하기도 합니다. 전문적인 직업인으로서 자유롭게 살고 싶은 유혹도 옵니다. 더 나은 직업을 가지고 돈을 벌어서 가정의 어려움을 돕고 싶은 마음도 있습니다. 나이가 들어갈 수록 더욱 그럴 것입니다.

우리 삶에는 많은 필요들이 있습니다. 사역자로서 우리는 유용한 사람, 필요한 사람, 사람들이 찾는 사람이 되고자 하는 유혹에 빠지기 쉽습니다. 캠퍼스 간사들이란 누구일까요? 나는 필요한 사람인가, 그렇게 묻게 되는 시간들이 있습니다. 나는 꼭 필요한 사람이라고 증명하고자 하는 유혹이 있습니다. 그러나 우리에게 중요한 것은 소명입니다. 하나님께서 우리를 부르셨기 때문에 우리는 이 곳에 있습니다. 나의 유용성 때문이 아닌, 부르심에 대한 순종 때문에 이 곳에 있습니다. 사람들이 필요로 하는 것은 돈도 아니고, 치료도 아닙니다. 진실로 학생들에게 필요한 것은 그들에게 영원한 생명을 주는 하나님의 말씀입니다. 예수님은 마귀에 시험에 대하여 이렇게 외치셨습니다. “사람이 빵으로만 살 것이 아니요 하나님의 입으로 나오는 모든 말씀으로 살아야 한다.”

유명세 (Popularity)

예수님이 받았던 두 번째 유혹은 그에게 열렬한 환호를 안겨다 줄 그런 일을 해 보라는 유혹이었습니다. “성전 꼭대기에서 뛰어 내려 보아라 그러면 천사들이 손으로 너를 붙들어 네 발이 돌에 부딪히지 않게 해 줄것줄 것이다” 그러나 그 분은 자신이 누구인지 증명해 보이려 하지 않으셨습니다. 그 분은 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “주 너의 하나님을 시험하지 말라.”

우리에게 흔히 있는 유혹은 인정에 대한 유혹입니다. 우리는 우리의 사역이 인정받기를 원합니다.인정에 대한 욕구는 누구에게나 있는 자연스러운 갈망일 것입니다. 존경받는 사역자로서 명성을 떨치고 싶은 마음도 있을 수 있습니다. 형제 자매들보다 내 자신이 주목받고 싶고, 여전히 중요한 사람으로 남고 싶은 마음이 있습니다. 압박이 있습니다. 그럴듯한 사역을 보여주고 싶어 합니다. 시간이 지날수록 그런 유혹은 더욱 많이 올 것입니다. 학생들이 나를 의지하도록 만들고 싶을 수 있습니다. 이것은 다음의 유혹, 힘과 관련되어 있습니다.

캄보디아 지도자들이 넘어지는 것,
- 현실의 필요를 채우는 전인적인 사역을 해야 합니다. 그러나 우리는 근본적으로 그들에게나는 필요한 것은 예수님이라는 것을 알고 있습니다. 우리의 정체성을 증명하라는 요구를 받습니다.
우리 사역은 많은 사람들의 이목을 끌만한 사역이 아닙니다. 수천명의 사람들이 모이지 않습니다. 후원자들의 이목을 끌만한 일들을 하려고 할 수 있습니다. 하나님께서 한 영혼 가운데 행하신 일들을 함께 주목하기 보다, 내 안에 행하시는 일들을 나누고, 기도하기 보다,

힘 (Power)
예수님이 받았던 세 번째 시험은 힘에 대한 시험이었습니다. “내가 이 세상 모든 나라의 영광을 네게 주겠다” 라고 마귀가 예수님께 말했습니다… 기독교 지도자들이 끊임없이 정치적인 힘, 군사적인 힘, 경제적인 힘, 도덕적이고 영적인 힘의 시험에 굴복했습니다. 힘을 복음 선포의 유용한 도구로 간주하려는 유혹이 가장 큰 유혹입니다. 힘을 갖는다는 것이 섬기는데 쓰여진다면 좋은 것이라는 말을 들어왔습니다. 그래서 우리는 큰 영향력을 미치는 자리들을 바라게 되었습니다. 힘에 대한 유혹이 강해 보이는 이유는 무엇입니까? 헨리 나우웬은 사랑이라는 어려운 과제에 대한 손쉬운 대체물을 힘이 제공하기 때문이 아닌가 생각했습니다. 하나님을 사랑하기보다는 하나님 되는 것이 더 쉽고, 사람들을 사랑하기보다는 사람들을 조종하는 것이 더 쉽습니다 친밀감을 두려워할 때 힘에 대한 유혹이 극대화됩니다.

우리는 어떻게 이 유혹을 이겨낼 수 있습니까. 마귀는 예수님의 정체성을 공격합니다. “네가 하나님의 아들이어든” 마귀는 오늘도 우리의 정체성을 공격합니다. 우리는 우리의 정체성을 하나님의 자녀가 아닌 다른 것에서 찾는 실수를 하기 쉽습니다. 나의 성취에서 찾으려고 할 수 있습니다. 사역의 결과를 통해서 나를 증명하려 할 수 있습니다. 그러나 우리가 들어야 할 것은 주님의 음성입니다. 예수님은 공적 사역을 시작하시기 전, 세례를 받으시던 때에 하나님의 음성을 듣습니다. 이는 내가 사랑하는 자라. 내가 그를 기뻐한다. 우리가 소명에 집중할 수 있는 것은, 우리가 우리의 자녀된 정체성을 붙잡을 수 있을 때입니다. 우리는 하나님의 사랑받는 자녀입니다.

네가 나를 사랑하느냐” 크리스천 지도자들에게 가장 필요한 훈련은 “네가 나를 사랑하느냐” 물으시는 그 분의 임재 안에 거하는 훈련입니다. 묵상기도를 통하여 우리는 긴급한 문제들만 좇아다니는 것으로부터, 하나님의 마음이나 자신의 마음에 대해 무감각해지는 것으로부터 벗어날 수 있습니다.

우리는 실패할지라도 주님은 우리를 그 분의 은혜 가운데 거듭 부르십니다. 요한복음 21장에서 베드로는 실패한 자리에서 예수님의 이 부르심을 듣습니다. 예수님은 세 번이나 예수님을 부인했던 베드로에게 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 물으십니다. 그리고 내 양을 먹이라 거듭해서 말씀하십니다. 그리고 그가 어떠한 죽음으로 하나님께 영광을 돌릴 것인지 말씀해 주십니다.

우리의 부르심은 하나님을 사랑하는 것이며, 그들을 목양하는 것이고, 힘이 있는 자리에 내려와서 내가 원치 않는 곳으로 기꺼이 인도하심 받는 것입니다. 그 곳이 주님이 계신 자리이며, 주님께서 영광을 받으시고 기뻐하시는 자리이기 때문입니다.

헨리 나우웬은 이렇게 기독교 리더들이 가야 할 길을 다음과 같이 정리했습니다. 우리는 현실 지향에서 돌이켜 주님의 사랑하시는 음성을 듣는 기도의 자리로 나아가야 합니다. 우리는 유명세가 아닌 주님의 양들을 먹이는 사역을 해야 합니다. 우리는 인도하는 자리에서 인도받는 자리로 가야 합니다.

예수님은 우리를 찾아오십니다. 우리에게 물으십니다. 나는 어떻게 오늘 주님을 사랑하고 있습니까. 예수님을 어떻게 사랑하고 있습니까? 네가 나를 사랑하느냐 물으시는 물음에 어떻게 대답하고 있습니까. 내가 돌보아야 할 주님의 양은 누구입니까. 내가 함의 추구를 내려 놓고 따라가야 할 주님의 인도하심은 무엇입니까? 우리가 함께 돌아보고 기도하기 원합니다.

적용질문
1. 현실적이 되라는 유혹
2. 나에게 오는 시험은 무엇인가? 내 양을 먹이라
3. 기꺼이 인도하심 받는 자리에 나아가려고 하는가? 내가 포기해야 할 힘의 추구는 무엇인가?

우리 자신을 주어야 한다. 어떤 기술이 아닌, 돈이 아닌, 유명함이 아닌 참된 사역을 하기를, 주님의 사람들을 새워 나가기를, 프로그램이 아니다. 사람을 변화시키는 것은 프로그램이 아니다. 어떤 자원이 아니다. 우리 자신을 보라.

내가 취약하고 우리가 연약하다 우리는 은혜가 필요하다 베드로가 실패한 가운데, 예수님이 그를 회복하셨던 것처럼 시험을 이기고 소명을 회복하기를 기도합니다. 우리에게 좋은 믿음의 선배들이 모델로 있음이 저는 참으로 감사합니다. 우리의 가치라고 생각합니다. 쉬운 길을 택하려 할 때, 그 길이 아니라고 말해주고 보여줄 수 있는 좋은 동료들이 있어서 감사합니다. 주님의 사람들을 세워왔습니다. 이것이 우리의 비전과 미션입니다.

모두 무너졌던 제자들, 베드로도 그 사랑의 음성 속에 부르심을 회복했습니다.

5. 한 사람에게 집중하라.

소노꼬, 우리가 가진 유산
대학생 시절의 변화, 우리도 누군가가 우리를 사랑했기 때문에 여기까지 왔다.
우리는 사람을 세우는 운동이다.
한 명, 한 명 작은 것 같지만 이것이 전부이며, 우리는 혼자가 아니다.

Of all the action-based messages in the universe, there’s one that matters most. When we want to be shown who we are in God’s eyes, we need look no further than His actions on the cross. In Romans 5:8, Paul wrote, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” The cross shows us who we are: those whom God so loved that He gave His one and only Son for us (John 3:16).

Against the mixed messages and confusing actions of broken people in a broken culture, the message of God’s heart rings clear. Who are you? You’re the one so loved by God that He gave His Son for Your rescue. Consider the price He paid for you and the wonderful reality that, to Him, you were always worth it.

How have you been defining your worth? What false messages might you need to discard or reject in exchange for comprehending the value that God places on you?

초대 교회 공동체의 예배와 교제의 헌신은 오늘도 이루어져야 한다. 공동체에 얼마나 어떻게 헌신하고 있는가. 어떤 교회와 공동체를 일구어 가고 있는가. 너희들이 그런 공동체를 경험하고 홀로 살지 않도록 더 도와야겠다. 이 곳에서 주신 공동체를 인해 감사드린다.

성형이 임하시고 모인 120명의 제자들은 각기 다른 언어들로 하나님의 행하신 큰 일을 말하기 시작했단다. 누가가 일부러 자세히 기록한 오순절에 모인 사람들의 출신 각 지역들은 바벨의 심판으로 인해 흩어진 언어와 민족을 다시 모으시고 회복시키시는 성령의 역사를 보는 것 같다.

어디에나 비난하는 자는 있기 마련인데 베드로는 담대히 무리들에게 성경을 풀어 구약에 예언되었던 성령의 임하심과 예수님의 부활을 논증하고 선포하고 회개를 요청한다. 베드로의 실패를 알기에 더 주목해 보는 장면이다. 비단 성령께서 주시는 지혜와 담대함뿐만이 아니다. 요한복음 21장, 예수님의 인격적인 치유와 회복하심이 결정적이었다고 본다. 그가 얼마나 말씀에 사로잡혀 있었는지. 아빠도 말씀을 영혼에 가득 채워야겠다. 암송을 너희들과 꼭 해야겠구나.

이 어그러진 세대 가운데서 구원을 받으라. 이 날 주님께로 돌아온 이가 3천명이다. 주님의 추수의 때가 캄보디아에도 임하기를 기도한다.

“No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel: ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy.

But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him. But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.

David was looking into the future and speaking of the Messiah’s resurrection. He was saying that God would not leave him among the dead or allow his body to rot in the grave. “God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witnesses of this. Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.

Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?” Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!””

예수님이 올라가신 후에 성령을 기다리며 제자들이 처음 한 일은 사도 리더십를 다시 세우는 일이었다. 사역에서 가장 중요한 부분이 리더십을 세우는 일이다.

“Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””

예수님은 식사하시면서 많이 가르치신 것 같구나. 무슨 아젠다를 가지고 모인 모임이나 회의가 아니고 말이야.

성령이 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고. 아! 권능이 우리에게 있구나. 증거할 수 있는 권능. 우리가 예수님의 증인으로서 값지게 살자. 나중에는 더 너희들을 사역의 자리에 참여시켜야겠다.

성령은 우리를 증인되게 하신다. 개인적 내적 체험만이 아니다.

“In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach until the day he was taken up to heaven after giving his chosen apostles further instructions through the Holy Spirit.”

사람들은 이 긴 편지의 수신자가 한 사람이 아니라고 하는데, 이 서신이 모든 교회들이 읽도록 쓰여졌다고 해도 아빠는 누가가 한 사람 Theophilus 를 염두에 두고, 그를 위해 복음서와 이 사도행전을 저술했을 것 같구나. 예수님을 전하고 믿음을 자라게 하기 위해서 말이야. 그리고 사도들과 교회들이 어떻게 시작되었는지, 특히 바울의 광범위한 사역을 말하는 것은 당대 있던 그리스도인들에 대한 반대를 이해시키는데 중요했을 것 같아. 아빠는 너희가 누가처럼 그렇게 예수님께서 우리 가운데 행하신 일을 나누고 쓸 수 있으면 좋겠구나.

““From now on, this month will be the first month of the year for you. Announce to the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice, one animal for each household. If a family is too small to eat a whole animal, let them share with another family in the neighborhood. Divide the animal according to the size of each family and how much they can eat.

“These are your instructions for eating this meal: Be fully dressed, wear your sandals, and carry your walking stick in your hand. Eat the meal with urgency, for this is the Lord’s Passover. On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord! But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt. “This is a day to remember. Each year, from generation to generation, you must celebrate it as a special festival to the Lord. This is a law for all time. For seven days the bread you eat must be made without yeast. On the first day of the festival, remove every trace of yeast from your homes. Anyone who eats bread made with yeast during the seven days of the festival will be cut off from the community of Israel.

“Celebrate this Festival of Unleavened Bread, for it will remind you that I brought your forces out of the land of Egypt on this very day. This festival will be a permanent law for you; celebrate this day from generation to generation.

Drain the blood into a basin. Then take a bundle of hyssop branches and dip it into the blood. Brush the hyssop across the top and sides of the doorframes of your houses. And no one may go out through the door until morning. For the Lord will pass through the land to strike down the Egyptians. But when he sees the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe, the Lord will pass over your home. He will not permit his death angel to enter your house and strike you down.

Then your children will ask, ‘What does this ceremony mean?’ And you will reply, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, for he passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt. And though he struck the Egyptians, he spared our families.’” When Moses had finished speaking, all the people bowed down to the ground and worshiped.

And that night at midnight, the Lord struck down all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on his throne, to the firstborn son of the prisoner in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed.

That night the people of Israel left Rameses and started for Succoth. There were about 600,000 men, plus all the women and children.

In fact, it was on the last day of the 430th year that all the Lord’s forces left the land.

Each Passover lamb must be eaten in one house. Do not carry any of its meat outside, and do not break any of its bones.”

During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived.

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart once more, and he would not let them go. “Get out of here!” Pharaoh shouted at Moses. “I’m warning you. Never come back to see me again! The day you see my face, you will die!” “Very well,” Moses replied. “I will never see your face again.””
